Siblings Tamila and Askar Salimdjanov are an internationally recognized violin-piano duo, performing across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Born into a distinguished musical family, their artistic collaboration is rooted in a lifelong shared musical language, a deep sense of ensemble intuition, and an unwavering commitment to expressive, refined performance.
Raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in a family of professional musicians, Tamila and Askar began performing together at an early age. Their grandfather, the renowned conductor Kuvanch Usmanov, and their mother, a music theory educator at the Uspensky Lyceum, played pivotal roles in their musical upbringing. This solid artistic foundation continues to shape the duo’s natural cohesion, stylistic depth, and interpretive unity.
As a duo, Tamila and Askar Salimdjanov present a diverse repertoire that spans Classical and Romantic masterpieces to virtuosic contemporary works. Their performances are characterized by clarity, depth, and an unmistakable familial unity, making them compelling in both concert halls and special event settings.
VIOLIN DUO
Askar Salimdjanov, violinist, is an internationally acclaimed soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. A multiple competition laureate, he is a winner of the Lyric Chamber Music Competition and the First NSAL Piano and Strings Duo Competition, a finalist in the Second Yankelevitch International Violin Competition (Omsk, Russia), and a laureate of the International Competition of Young Performers in Moscow, as well as Vladimir Spivakov’s International Music Festival.Askar has performed as a soloist with the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Miami, the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra, and the State Conservatory Orchestra of Uzbekistan.
He has appeared at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the New World Center (Miami), Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, and Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore. In 2022, he joined the Naples Philharmonic as a permanent violinist.Askar holds a Master of Violin Performance degree from Rice University and has also studied at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore and Lynn University.

Tamila Salimdjanova, pianist, is an award-winning soloist and chamber musician, lauded as “a veritable tour de force” by Serenade Magazine. She has gained international acclaim through top prizes at major piano competitions, including the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, the Leeds International Piano Competition, and the Montreal International Piano Competition.Tamila has performed at prestigious venues such as Salle Cortot, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Steinway Halls in London and Hamburg, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, and Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.
She has appeared at renowned festivals, including the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, and has collaborated with orchestras across Europe and the Americas. Tamila is currently the Artist-in-Residence at the Nova Linea Musica concert series in Chicago. She holds advanced degrees from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Royal College of Music in London, the Bern University of the Arts, and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Northwestern University.
